Beosystem 1 - no video (a dumb question)

I just got my BS1 back from the repair shop after having some work done on it (HD mod and chip upgrade) and I cant get any video output (sound works ok).

I have tried a couple of different monitors with no success. Being ever hopeful (and not wanting to ship it back unless I have to), is there something  I should be doing with the BEO4 remote that turns the video output on the VGA plug on and off  ?

If not, its back in the box and on its way back to the repair shop cross country.

    Thanks

    Mike

Hi Mike and welcome to BeoworldSmile
So sorry no-one has got back to you on this, we had a problem with the server over the last couple of days.
I can't help you on this, but by bumping this for you, someone might see it and help you out.
By the way, there is no such thing as a 'dumb question' on here!

Nothing I know about with the Beo4.  I recall that the set up was always a little tricky and that the BS1 didn't like things changing (new sources, inputs etc.) while already on.  Your source settings could be messed up to some degree.  Try plugging a source into the single input on the front of the box and see if you can see it ( this is a temporary input that is automatically selected when it receives a signal.)  If this works then check all your input settings to make sure they are correct.  It might not work for you but I used a computer CRT for viewing and setup before I got my plasma installed.

If none of this works then you might want to try service to see if there is any steps they can walk you through before you ship it anywhere.
