One area of my B&O knowledge that is completely lacking is what bits and bobs do I need to acheive the following

Room 1 (bedroom) - Beomaster 6500 + CX100s + Cona

Room 2 - (bathroom) CX50s.

I want to be able to

a) switch between the two sets of speakers (and also have the option of running both sets at the same time although this is not critical)

b) be able to adjust the volume of the speakers in room 2, from room 2.

I have 2 beolink 1000s one for each room

I can run cables/wires under the floorboards of the 2 rooms

What do I need?

Nigel there are two ways you can go about this.

1) By using an Extra Speakers Kit. This will give you full control of the Beomaster from room 2, but if you adjust the volume from one room it will change in both.

2) by using an MCL2AV and an MCL2P you get full control. Plus you can control the volume in each room independently.

Think the MCL X-TRA Speaker Kit is probably the way to go for me as it sounds cheaper

I'm thinking if SWMBO is in bed not wanting to hear what I'm dancing away to in the shower, I can install a simple switch in the speaker cables to the speakers in the bedroom (Can I do this without causing damage to the Beomasters output transistors?)

What are the wire connections between the Beomaster, relay and transceiver?

When using the speakers in the bathroom it would normally automatically mute the speakers in the bedroom. I guess you could overide it though.

Nigel you connect the Tranciever to the Extra Speakers Kit. You also connect an length of MCL cable from your speaker connection on you Beomaster to the Extra Speakers kit. Then you just connect your CX50's to the kit.
