Mac Mini - BeoPort working well with Leopard but no sound output from mini-jack on BeoPort?

I've moved from my old PC server running XPPro to my Mac Mini running Leopard and BM-Link. :-)

All is working well on the MasterLink network with my Avant & BS3000 picking up the music flawlessly. However, in my study where the Mac Mini (& PC Server) resides I used to also be able listen to whatever was playing via the mini-jack (not PowerLink) output on the BeoPort being fed into an old hifi amp and a couple of ageing (but rather nice) Kef speakers. Now I do not get any output.

Is there a setting on BM-Link that I've missed?

Also, what's the collective experience of Frontrow? I'm still using iTunes as the primary interface. Is it worth using Frontrow and if so advantage does it give?

I'd appreciate any help/advice anyone can give as a newbie on the Mac/B&O integration - many thanks.

    Hi Rob,

I use a very similar setup and I also moved to Apple not long ago. Well, I had the same problems are you are experiencing; that is, there was no output via the mini-jack output. However, I managed to have it doing the following: simply placing a mini-jack splitter (1 male to 2 female) in the MacMini output, so I connected 1 cable output to the Beoport and the other one to the Beovision 6 I'm using as monitor for the MacMini. Voila! Here is the music in both places (main living room and study), and I can control it independently (volume on the Beosund 3000 and volume on the Beovision 6).

    I hope this helps,

    Francisco
