    Beocenter 2 and Masterlink problems

    Hi,

I have recently restored my house and then I installed a Lexcom home system, with their own B&Q Master link module. The guys that installed the network has measured the network and it works as it should be. After that I bought B&O stuff, which I always have dreamt about. It looks like this:

    TV room

Beocenter 2 connected to a surround amp thru RGB cables. My TV (Sony) is connected to the Amp and I have installed 5 Beovox 1 in the ceiling. I have also installed a inwall sub and that is connected to the amp as well. I really like the sound and the picture when I'm using the Beocenter 2 together with the rest of the stuff.

    Bathroom

Beovox 1 connected to Beolink Active (placed in basement where I have the Lexcom patch panel).

    Bedroom

Beovox 1 connected to Beolink Active (placed in basement where I have the Lexcom patch panel).

    Dining room

    Beolab 3500

My big issue in this is that, when I try to connect my Beolab 3500 and the two other rooms I don't get it to work at all. It seems like it is the connection to the Beocenter 2 that fails. I have the option A.option 1 at the Beocenter 2 and L.Option 6 at the rest of the places. I have tried to connect one unit (Tried both Beolab 3500 and Beovox1) to the patch number that comes directly from the Beocenter 2, but that didn't seem to work either. The unit itself (Beocenter 2) works, since I can run DVD and CD, but it doesn't comes out to the other linked rooms.

Have anyone of you any idea of why this isn't working? It's getting really frustating since this is something that I have looked forward since the day we started to renovate our house. Appricates any help in this!!

That is a pain! I am afraid I would suspect the wiring. You are not doing anything complex here so it should just work.I wonder if your dealer would lend you a Beolink Wireless just to see if all the units are working. I would suspect that having just spent a decent sum, they could well be helpful!

Re: Beocenter 2 and Masterlink problems

I will try to connect a ML cable between the Beocenter 2 socket unit and the Beolab 3500 direct. This is to eliminate that the ML output works correct on the socket unit. Hmm...the wiring. I have four RJ45 ports where I have placed the socket unit for the Beocenter 2 and I have tried them all, so that even confuses me more. The worst scenario would be that the length of cable would be an issue in this, but I don't think that this is the issue either.

Is there a setting that blocking the ML output from the socket unit? It's really frustating when you buy something this expansive and you don't get a proper manual...

Which manuals don't you have? We do have almost all the modern ones including the ML handbook. You need to be a silver member - or gold - but let me know what you are missing and I will see if I can help.
