    Beomaster 3400 Headphone Jack

    Hi all
On my Beomaster 3400, type 2802, the headphone jack (one of 2) has failed.
I diassembled it to rebuild it - quite simple really, but metal fatigue over the years has taken its toll.
    The part #  is 7210023.
It is a common part, having been used in many different Beomasters over the years.
As it does not operate correctly, one channel's speaker output is interfered, and is low volume.
    1. Does someone have a NOS unit in stock?
    2. How would I bypass the jack, so that the speaker output returns to full volume?
    Kind Regards
    M Yachad

Is this a 6.35 jack socket with integral switches?

B&O used some Japanese sockets, and also British (Cliff)Both types are still readily available here in the UK.

    Can you post a piccy?

    Re: Beomaster 3400 Headphone Socket

    Hi Solderon,

Well, I guess opening up the BM3400 (AGAIN) is no big deal - I'm getting quite used to it now!

I think you're probably right in it being a 1/4" (6.35mm) Cliff socket, but I couldn't find the exact model on their website.

This one has 12 pins on the rear - 6 for each of the left and right channels, but B&O used only 3 pins for each channel.

Pin allocations as follows (Left and Right Front Channels):

4 - Green (from Power Amp & to 220 Ohm resistor)

5 - Green White (To Speaker)

    6 - Headphone via 220 Ohm Resistor

9 - Yellow (from Power Amp & to 220 Ohm resistor)

8 - Yellow White (To Speaker)

    7 - Headphone via 220 Ohm Resistor

    Regards

    MY

great picture. It's the Jap socket actually, although they don't seem to use the switched contacts?

    Long time since I've seen a 3400!

    Socket readily available here:
