Dear all,
As I haven´t found anything about B&O planning a Beovision 7-46 I would like to get your opinions. Perhaps we can create some market power to convince B&O to offer one in near future?
As I saw BV10-46 beside a BV7-55 last week I am sure the BV7-46 would have a place in the Beovision lineup. Better picture, better Sound at - of course - premium price.

Dear Heribert
maybe the new BV11 has a 46" panel?

Do you have any information about BV11? Entry, mid or highend?
They did consider a BV7-46 some years ago but for unknown reasons it, so far, didn´t hit the market.
It´s not magic - it´s Bang & Olufsen

I'd love a BV7-46. Perfect size, superb audio. Only snag is, how expensive is this likely to be? You know B&O, add a few inches to the panel and they charge the price of a brand new Samsung 55" LCD TV. Or more.
I've had B&O TVs since 2000, but my next TV is becoming more and more likely to be a Loewe. You get the great design, decent remote (not the default one with the TV), reasonable audio and fair price. Somewhat between the same size B&O and high streed LCD TV. Frankly, I don't really care too much if it doesn't masterlink with my other B&O equipment as it's cheaper to buy another Loewe TV with the money saved than worry about streaming the same (out-of-sync!) digital TV across different rooms.

Moxxey,
but for a Loewe Individual incl. sound projector you are roughly in same price area as B&O.
The new CEO of B&O has promised some changes.
Let´s wait and see.

I had the Loewe debate a few months back. I racked my mind going to and from Fenwicks in Newcastle, where they have a display.
I now have the TV i have always wanted. I didn't buy it on specs for things i'd hardly use, but it was the one i always stopped and coveted through the window on a cold night out in Greys Street, Newcastle.
And i'm here sat in my underpants on a rare day off(kids at school) listening to Karl Jenkins on it's inbuilt DVD player with it's Beolab 8000, 6000 and Beolab 2.
Perfik
A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

The digital platform will be introduced at the dealer convention in September. It will be the same platform across the range, but with added functionality (at a cost) based on the model selected.
The BV11 is said to be 2x the cost of the top-of-the-line from Philips or Sony, taking it right back to where the Avant was with respect to the competition. The entry level model will be less than 20k DKK - so the new price policy should be more in line with the old MX and Avant range compared to rest of the market.
I belive the BV10-55 will be based on the current platform. Not sure what will happen with the BV7 range...

Are you sure? The 46" I was looking at, with the stand and centre speaker was about £6K. I'll check again, but I'm sure it was far less than the BV10-46 (which is about £8900).
Good news on the BV11. I'm in no rush to buy a new TV, so let's all wait.

Roger:
It is always difficult to base a purchase on "speculation", but I guess it is obvious that the 7-40 will be dumped in the not to distant future. The 10-55 will sell for less, and the new BeoVision will offer the same picture quality for even less. If you like the 7-series and/or find the 10-series a bit dull, then you will like the new model - but not much new "thinking" when it comes to materials, they stick to the metal they know the best.

Sh.t, did i buy the BV8-40 mkII to soon?

Koning,
is there a huge difference between the 8-40 MKI with 100hz and the 8-40 MKII with 200hz?
Heribert,
I never understood why some guys blame the 8-40 for its poor design and its plastic frame and always repeat "it is not a real B&O product". From the moment I saw the 8-32 in the shop I loved it. First bought the 8-32 and later the 8-40.
