Beosund 8 - Popping noise
I have an iPhone plugged into a beosound 8 and this morning it started making random popping noises when music plays. Not all the time, but enough to be both noticable and irritating.
Has anyone else seen this/have any thoughts on it?

Re: Beosund 8 - Popping noise
Did you upgrade to iOS 4.3 on your iPhone?
I did, and the popping noises started to happen, irregularly but very often on all tracks. No such problem with Beosound 8 before the upgrade to iOS 4.3 on my iPhone 4.
Strangely, my iPad upgraded to the new iOS 4.3 did not have the same problem with Beosound 8. I upgraded both iPhone and iPad right away when the 4.3 came out.
What solved my iPhone 4 & Bousound 8 problem was a "Reset to factory settings" restore on the iPhone. Now the iPhone plays without any problems with audio on Beosound 8. The popping sounds are gone.
I did a search on the matter at Apple's Support Forums, and apparently a similar issue has occurred to some users with earlier iOS updates as well, with iPhone audio docks from various manufacturers. So the issue is not isolated to iPhone & Beosound 8.
Do a restore on your iPhone and see if it helps. In my case it did -- although a restore has not helped with all of the reported similar post-upgradre problems with different audio docks.

Re: Beosund 8 - Popping noise
You are spot on, did the update yesterday. Should have guessed the weak link was the iPhone!
Will see if this fixes the problem.
Thanks,
Matt

Re: Beosund 8 - Popping noise
Amusingly enough, it's been reported that with iOS 4.3.1, which was out last Friday, March 25th, audio "pops" and "clicks" occur again with some Audio Docks w/ iPhones. It appears that there is no consistency in this, i.e. someone with a certain Audio Dock experience it, while others with the same dock do not.
I haven't updated to 4.3.1 yet, did you perhaps?
Again, a "Reset to Factory Settings" on your iPhone might help.
If the iOS update is once again the reason for this, this is getting "not-so-funny" -- extra trouble after each update.
I hope you get the problem solved. It would be good to know if the iOS update is the culprit.
