    BV7 DSM Module Help

    Hello All

    Help needed.

My build is 7.14 with all modules up to date apart from the DSM module.

When i bought the tv the dealer did auto update and this did not update the DSM module, i mentioned about this as i need the module to have a higher level so i can use ML delay to fix the echo issue.

The dealer in question said as far as he is concened its up to date and flashing it again would give the same results.

Today i had another dealer try and update the software:

Read software ok all modules showing up to date apart from the DSm which is hardware version 2.5, (only boxes ticked are dsm to update)

We click select software to update and the start and get

communication issue message from the service tool.

Selecting the dsm module rather than auto update gives an error saying tv is not connected or powered off or needs a reboot.

This is strange as it reads ok but will not write to the DSM.

Help Please all you helpful experts.

    Thanks

    Re: BV7 DSM Module Help

    Hi,

then the connection issue come did you try to unplug tv from mains >40sek ? and then try manual again?

If so, probely in earlier updates the dsm have been miss to uppdate so the "build" is incompatible , What Sw.ver has DSM Now ?

    Re: BV7 DSM Module Help

Yeah the tv was powered off for a while and it reads perfectly.

DSM DSP Sw is 4.19a and the software table shows as 4.19 wasbuild 548 but not 4.19a

DSM FEP SW is 4.23a and that is not even in the table 4.22 was build 548

Has anyone ever seen this before is it worth rolling back to an older build where all modules match and re-flashing to the newest version?

    Re: BV7 DSM Module Help

I think you have to downgrade sw (The hole Build) to build 551 (H8sw 7.05) and then do  upgrade to latest build 714

    Re: BV7 DSM Module Help

Funny enough the dealer went back to his shop and tried to update his BV7 and had the same error.

Turns out it was the serial cable as via USB convertor it worked perfectly

I now have AST menu and ML delay has been switched on and i have no echo with my link room.

My DST module is now up to date with the rest of the build.

One thing i did notice is that the Bluray said it needed a manual update but there was no update avail via teh internet.

Oh well it works so i wont fix it
