    beogram 2000 arm issues

Just hooked up my beogram 2000. Im having issues with the arm I think. If I turn it on it will track to the beginning of the record for a second or two then lift up and return to the right. It was tracking fine at first and then it would not play well on one of my LP's "loop" so I slightly adjusted the numbered weight. I then had problems with the arm. it can tilt slightly to the left or right. Im thinking one of the adjustment screws is loose, It moved slightly at the base right before the dial. I looked for service manuals but the one I found for a 2000 did not look like my LP player. it has three small buttons on the lower right, 45,35,45 and repeate. If I start the player and then slightly move the arm to a track I can get music and it sounds fine, but as soon as I press stop it does the same thing over again. Is there are info on checking and adjusting the arm.

    Re: beogram 2000 arm issues

The startup problem could be down to oxidated contacts, it's very common for this model if it stood
unused for a longe time. You can take it all apart and clean the contacts but you can also keep trying,
maybe 20-40 times or more, and it will eventually start to play.

Ok, so its playing much better, however the black pivot piece on thte arm can be lifted off the assembly. It will slightly cant counter clockwise when it plays maybe a degree or two. Im getting poping almost every second, besideds that it plays ok, but Im woried about when the arm can be lifted of and move so much. Is it a adjustement in the front, should the pivot arm just simply rest on the assembly. or is it slightly broken? I wish I had a second player so i could verify what is going on.
