Re: 103-inch BeoVision 4 introduced - with cool video
The 3rd picture is cool... A surroundsound setup with 6 BL5's!!!! :-)
The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

100,000 euros plus Vat .

Can't make up my mind yet.. The pictures look good... But I'll have to see it in real life first :-)

You can see it in Munich and New York. There was another city, have forgotten it.
I believe there is a market within commercial applications, i.e. hotel lobbies, exhibition stands etc.

Maybe that's a better use for it. Do companies still spend that type of money though when they can probably get it a lot cheaper elsewhere and integrate it into a wall where you don't really see the frame anyway ?

Yes, it's a statement and something which can help boost B&O's name further.

Re: 103-inch BeoVision 4 introduced - with cool video
Not practical in my situation, Love the thought and a definite WOW factor , but ...... the screen lowers to nearly floor level.......mmmmm am I the only one that sees problems with potential accidents just waiting to happen[:'(]. Perhaps the size of his thing will scare the hell out of people and keep them at a safe distance.
Also what would the distance from a back wall be to accomodate the stand and screen?

Apparently, there are built-in sensors to prevent injuries (in case the BV should make contact with any object)
Upon contact, the BV will move in the opposite direction.

Good for those who have pets I guess. I'd hate to see a tragic 100 000 euro dog/cat vs BV accident.

Re: 103-inch BeoVision 4 introduced - with cool video
The integration in the Wall is a good point. I stayed just now in the W Hotel in Istanbul. They had an entire wall out of mirrored glas, and behind it and interesting lamp on one side, and a normal LCD TV screen on the other. If you would switch on the tV, you could see the screen. If it was off, you just had mirrored glas. Very nice. I still would have preferred a BV6.

Spain Prices for the "Creature":
- Floor Stand: about 99.000 €
- Wall Mount: about 86.100 €
The price includes BV4 103" screen, BSys3, BL10 and Stand/Wall Bracket. The cost of the delivery services are not included.

My assumption is that the distance to the wall isn't very much, from the front of the screen to the wall would be 50% of the diameter of the base. If you have a TV like this, it would be insured against accidental damage from where it's mounted, you'd be insane not to insure it!
