More problems: BV7-40 MKIV red line issues

My BV7-40 has never created a proper link-room connection since I had the MKIV installed. The link-room TV results in a picture that is so poor it's unwatchable. However, it's not the link-room TV as the internal modulator will display an analogue signal. It's only via link-rom.

Now I'm getting red and different coloured lines all over the BV7-40 MKIV screen. I'll take a photo later. These lines appear whatever the source input :(

    Anyone heard of anything similar?

I can't believe that you are patiently waiting for a fix for your lemon. I would have excercised my rights as a consumer and  returned the TV for a refund long before now.

Apart from where another dealer ripped something off the skirting board, leaving half the paintwork missing Sad I'll need to sort that out soon.

I have no idea what's causing these red lines and, yes, it's a lemon. However, if your dealer doesn't want to replace or refund, there's little you can do accept keep on pushing or go down the legal route, which opens a whole can of worms.

I was just talking generically (ie. person above stating 'refund under consumer rights' which is only if the shop agrees ;) - I'll speak with my dealer tomorrow. No idea about the solution for this, but I'm sure they'll fix it.

Best of luck Chris. I feel sure the store will do their best to help you get everything sorted.

    Simon.
