"Pleasant sound" is a very good description Martin.
I had a pair in teak which I gave away to someone who bought a TV from me on ebay. I should really have kept them but didn't really have the room so it was really a mutual favour that he took them away. He wanted them and it wasn't really worth my time listing them on ebay for the price they would have reached.
If I had room for them I would have kept them and along with other speakers from this era they are much better sounding than they look with their (rather boring) boxy image.
To be fair though I don't own a suitable amp to drive them from so my judgement may be slightly clouded although if they'd been in white I would have hung on to them....
Chris.
The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.
