getting surround sound with beocenter 2 and non-B&O plasma

    hey guys

    im rather new to this

im going to be getting a beocenter 2 so i can watch dvds, and maybe a set of beolab 6000/8000 speakers, but i was told i need to get an amplifier if i want to get proper surround sound from my philips plasma if i link it up.

as im new to all this, can anyone tell me or suggest a setup and any products to buy so i can get surround sound with the beocenter 2 and my philips plasma??

    thanks

Re: getting surround sound with beocenter 2 and non-B&O plasma

The general challenge is this: B&O decided that a key ingredient in a movie setup is a TV and as a consequence they decided to include the surround module in the telly. If you do not have a B&O telly then you will have to connect your BC2 S/PDIF-output to your amplifier for sound and use the scart/s-vhs output to your 3. party telly.
