How to handle two audio sets in one room?

I want to use two audio sets in one room.

    1. Beosound 3000

    2. Beomaster 3500/4500/6500/7000 - important here: Powerlink!

How (option programming?) can I use these two sets in one room?

Or: is there an alternative to 2. - maybe a product that has powerlink sockets but different IR codes (no Beo 4, Beolink 1000, Beo 5, MCP5500/6500)?

Background of this question: on one side of the room I want to use a non B&O TV and use a Beomaster (2.) attached to the telly via aux-in to drive Beolab 6000 speakers.

    Thanks for your support!

    Ralf

PS: I also thought of using a Beolink actice with ir-eye (bl 6000) and attach the tv to the aux-in of the beosound 3000 for link a.aux ....???

    My Beo: Beosound 3000, Beolab 4000, Beo 4 DVD,  Beolab 5000/Beomaster 5000, Beovox S45.2 with Stands, Beosystem 7000 black with Beolink 7000, Beolink 1000, F1000 (3 cubes), Beovox 5000, Beovox 3000, Attyca 1.

Set the one you will use the least to Option 4 if you can. You then need to press LINK before a command. Or get a Beomaster 5000 - very cheap and excellent amplifier and lots of RCA inputs! Uses different codes as suggested.

Re: How to handle two audio sets in one room?

    Peter,

    thanks for the help.

As I understand from the manual on site, BM3500 only has option 1 and 2, where BM4500 has options 3 and 4 as well. Did I get this right?

    Beolink Active has option 4....

I do have a BM 5000 I wanted to sell and just now tried to use the pre-outs (no powerlink!) to drive the BL6000, but one of the speakers won't turn of right, it contiues to switch on and off even when the BM is turned off - maybe something wrong with the line-in?

    Thanks again

    Ralf

Try swapping the speakers to see if the problem moves with them or not - if it doesn't, swap the cables at the BM end to see if that affects anything. If it's still then the same speaker position that has problems, I believe the troubled speaker is picking up noise or interference (typically mains hum on the signal cable) from somewhere, and never gets convinced that there's no sound input. If it is an interference problem, just re-routing the cabling (or other cabling in near vicinity) might be enough.
