    beovision mx7000

     i recently purchased an mx7000 and when i try to change the picture setting it will change ok but ...when i exit it goes back to its factory pre-set even if i press the 'go' which should store it , any clues.

    Hi:

     

    Perhaps one or all of the memory batteries have expired. They are cell type (silver discs) and are either mounted to the boards in a plastic socket or soldered directly onto them. If this is the issue (I am taking an estimated guess) they will need to be replaced. I think they are fairly standard and can be bought from a shop like Maplin. However, unless competent with electronic repair you would be ill advised to do this yourself due to the high voltages that are encountered in CRT televisions (you could in the worst case give yourself a fatal electric shock).

    ....well meant but of no use i'm afraid: no such batteries in an MX7000 :)

    Which type of MX7000 is it ?? (type 33xx or 78xx), the combination of tv/remote and way of storing might be a problem...

    Are you using it with an RGB source? It will only change settings in CVBS mode...
