  • Re: Beomaster 5500 question...speaker inputs?

Just a quick update...after a bit of use this Beosystem is now all working...i was having a problem with the radio sound stopping too after about 15 minutes of being turned on...but all is now fine and dandy. My parents hadn't used this Beosystem for about 3 years since being told by a dealer that the CD5500 was dead...and i had it sat in the corner

I spoke too soon...after the amp warmed up the right hand speaker stopped working again? Blackrix...you may well be correct but then as Guy1680 just pointed out...wouldn't the speakers both work on Speaker 2 if there is no speaker relay in it? I will have a chat to the chap who just repaired my CD5500. Btw...when working this 5500 System certainly

Thanks for the quick reply Peter. Well...i thought that it was all working when i first played it this afternoon...and it did definitely stop working on one speaker...and now i have just switched it all off and reconnected the speakers into Speakers inputs 1 R and 1 L...switched it back on and they now both work?! Good...glad about that...hope that

  • Re: How many of you have purchased a system from Classic Audio (Beolab 5000)

I don't know if my 5500 system counts as Classic Audio? My parents gave it to me last year when they up-graded to a new B & O system...but the CD 5500 needs fixing (well...hopefully i can get it fixed...the Bristol dealer told my parents that the laser had 'gone' and the unit was now deceased!). ...UPDATE...i can now see that my 5500

  • Re: IS B&O worth the money???

I have a BV7-32 with Lab 3 front, Lab 4 rear and a Lab 2 sub...and even my wife loves it! Worth the money...yes, i think so...great picture, fabulous sound and lots of style too. However...about 4 years ago i bought a pair of Beocom 6000 phones...and imho that was a waste of money...£550 iirc for the pair and i didn't realise that they didn't

  • Re: New rear speakers ?

I have Lab 3s front with a Lab 2 and Lab 4s rear...and my set-up is great imho. My Lab 4s are fitted facing downwards about 8 ft up on the back wall above the sofa. For watching tv films, videos and dvds the Lab 4s are perfect...if however i had wanted to listen to music on Speaker 4 Mode then i would have bought another pair of Lab 3s for rear...although

  • Re: My BV 7-40 MKIII Full HD Dark Grey has finally arrived! Pictures, info, and much more...!

I have a black BV-7 32 and a freind has the light silver version...and we both agree that the black looks much better...it looks more expensive in the flesh and when you watch something on the screen the frame and speaker beneath disappear from your view...whereas when you watch his screen you always see the bright silver frame and speaker below.

  • Re: Beo 5 Countdown- who get the first one...?

I popped into my dealer the other day and looked at the new Beo5...and he told me that there is a known problem with them at the moment?

  • Re: B&O and flatmates

Sorry to hear that news...unfortunately some people just don't have any respect for other peoples possessions...wearing shoes on our carpets is generally enough to up-set me! I lent someone my Playstation and a few games once...and when i got it back the thing was covered in dust and stains and the cds were all covered in fingerprints...never again
