Hi! Now I have a bad Hall sensor (for the auto-stop circuit) to replace. It doesn't detect any magnetic field, so I suppose it is kaput! The symptoms are that all functions work but the spool motor will stop after 4 seconds. Holding the buttons for more than 4 sec. will allow play, rewind and FF to keep working. But then auto-stop won't work

You really need the diagram! 1TR5 means transistor TR5 on PCB one.

Hi, There is a fuse (F1, 250mA) in the motor circuit. I guess a new one will do the trick! Of course, a new fuse will not garantee that the motor is okay. It might have worn out brushes or bearings. A good idea would be to test it with a 9V battery.
