S/N 15286474 - works great. Did you try to reinstall the batteries?

    Hi all

Just discovered this post and got over-excited...alas to no avail. I couldn't make my Beo1 do new tricks either. Have any previous failures since been successful? Is there any trick to the timing of the button presses? How long does one hold he buttons for? How much pause between? And when the instructions say press the "stop" button, is this definitely the one, rather than the record button which is it's other half?

Is it likely that there would be some Beo1s able to be changed and some not? Is it worth emailing B&O about?

    Any more ideas appreciated.

    Cheers

    Stuart

Hi Stefan - yes I did, several times, and that screw holding the battery case in is really annoying to keep undoing and re-doing!

Do you need to replace them after the programming, or just to 'reset' as someone suggested?

    Thanks for your advice.

    Re: Beo1

I tried for half an hour or so, installed new batteries, read the instructions, tried again and again until suddenly I realized that I hadn't noticed the  last "Display" press. After that it worked perfectly.

I reinstalled the batteries just before reprogramming. I don`t know if this helps, but some people did it and their reprogramming was successful...

Still trying...I will not be defeated...

As I don't have a Beovision 1 TV, which buttons should work with the BeoSound 9000? Maybe it is actually working but I don't know it. e.g. Should pressing 'Go' cause a CD to start like it does with the Beo4? Or do you have to be in CD mode (and without a display on the Beo1, how would you know what mode you're in?)?

The Standby button turns the BeoSound 9000 off, but then it did that before.

    Re: Beo1

@ Stefan , thank you for redirection to this thread.

    Im trying to get a beo1 from a BC1 -2001 to work on a BC1 -2004

Both BC1 `s work on beo4. But the beo1 isnt working on the BC1 -2004

    Beo1 : s/n 15117532

I tried the reinstall and pressing sequence. Only thing that is working up to now is holding standby and it will turn off the BC1-2004.

[edit] Ok i got a bit further,....

I followed the german TS his instructionts in specific order as he noted it down. Suddenly I got into the menu screen on the BC1-2004. Sound level now reacts positive.  Arrows up and down to swith channels are now working.

But when pressing display I cant swith over to DVD - Radio - Turn ,..etc....The BC 1-2004 is not displaying the TEXT " TV-RADIO-DVD-Turn-"

Anyone an idea how i can get the source selecting working somehow?

    Re: Beo1

Your reprogrammed Beo1 will act like a Beo4, DISPLAY is MENU. How do you activate the source selecting menu on your BC1-2004 via Beo4?

I think the DISPLAY will activate the general SETUP MENU. That`s what my Beo1 does on my BV7-40. So source selecting is not possible, I`m afraid.

    Re: Beo1

On BC1-2004 I select source with the beo4 on Bc1 -2001 all could be accessed by beo1.

So there must be a software or hardware difference between Bc1-2001 and BC1-2004 ?

btw as I reprogrammed the beo1 towards beo4 commands. Will it still be possible to use it on the BC1 -2001 as it did before reprogramming ?

And if not how is it reversable ?

"On BC1-2004 I select source with the beo4 on Bc1 -2001 all could be accessed by beo1."

What happens with BC1-2004 when you press MENU on Beo4?

"So there must be a software or hardware difference between Bc1-2001 and BC1-2004 ?"

    Maybe. Sorry, I can`t help with BC1, because I don`t own one. I just got a Beo1.

"btw as I reprogrammed the beo1 towards beo4 commands. Will it still be possible to use it on the BC1 -2001 as it did before reprogramming ?"

I don`t think so. But try and let us know....

"And if not how is it reversable ?"

Usually it`s the same sequence once more (think of Beo4 reprogramming for LINK codes), but I can`t test it, because I don`t have a BC1 as said before.

    Re: Beo1

    Hi to all!

Do you need a B&O TV /Masterlink for use BEO1 with Standardcodes to Control BS9000 or BS4.

I´ve tryed to control a BS4 and a Century with Beo1 without an B&O TV but it doesn´t work.

    Can anybody help me?

    Thanks a lot

    Re: Beo1

Beo1 has no source buttons. So you have to select source with Beo4, and you can navigate with Beo1. Left - Right - Up - Downn - Play - Stop - Volume/up-down - Standby - should work. In my setup GO activates DTV when everything is in standby.

    Re: Beo1

    It works!

I had tried a while ago and I couldn't get it to work. I noticed this thread again and thought I 'd give it another go. I replaced the batteries and tried again and again (about 25 times) and then suddenly the BL 3500 in the kitchen came on.

Strange thing is that it doesn't work in the main room where I have the BS9000 but it works fine in the other rooms. Not fussed though as it will be used in the guest room.

Thanks heaps; you've made my day.

    Re: Beo1

    I just checked my Beo1:

It doesn`t work with my BS7000, BC9500 (both 2 way), BM3300, BS Century (both 1 way).

It works with my BV7-40 MKIII, BC6-26, BV6-22, Lintronic box.

It`s also possible to control the BS9000 (in OPT.0) via BV7-40.

Looks like you are right. Beo1 only works with Beovisions....(?)...strange.

The Beo 1 works fine in link rooms but won't control the BS9000 direct in the main room.

    Strange....

Ok a bit late but never the less,.....I tried to operate the BC1 -2001 with the reprogrammed beo1 and it still works.

rec buttons were not tested as there is no recordable medium attached.

    Re: Beo1

I just got hold of a Beo1, tried this with mine and after a few attempts it worked perfectly and will now control my BV3.  Only thing I can't do is switch on the digibox via the STB controller.

A very useful thread for Beo1 owners!
