MX-7000 worth repairing?

My mother has an early MX-7000 from the mid 90's. There is something wrong with it. The image is slightly blurred and there are diagonal stretch across the screen. It is something that seems familiar? I have seen that you can buy cheap MX televisions. An alternative would be to buy a used 32 "Avant. It's probably not economically feasible to repair it. But that option is not excluded. What would you have done?

As far as I know the problem you discribed can be caused by two problems. One is a defective picturetube, in that case it is not worth repairing. But this is almost never the case. I think there is a problem with the G2 trimmer, this is located on the PCB that is on the picturetube. And that's an easy fix.

Thanks, maybe worth to have an B&O technician have a look at it and take it from there. I don´t have any skills to do anything myself.

Armed with the information above any decent TV repairer should be able to carry out the work Smile

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
