    Beo6 wifi with Beosound 5

    Just ordered this remote, my dealer will come to my apartment and configure it here. Have any of you tested the two-way/Beosound 5 function?

    Until the next release of software which should have already occurred, but has not, the 2 way WiFi facility is not available.

    My dealer said that the new software is released now, and he is coming to my aparftment to configure it.

    When is he coming? I have been waiting for the new software to order a Beo 6. My dealer told me this week still no idea when it will be available. A page about it appeared a couple days ago on the B and O web site and then was removed.

    I hope your dealer is correct!

    I ordered the remote 24/11 at B&O in Oslo, and they said that the new two-way software is now released.

    I am hoping your dealer knows more than my dealer as I will be ordering a Beo 6 as soon as my dealer says he has the software.

    Sounds like your dealer is going on a wing and a prayer. It's supposed to happen pretty soon, but there's no confirmed date that I'm aware of.

    He sounded confident, and will call me to set the time he can come to my appartment. He said that that is the best way to program beo6. I'll keep you updatet :)

    Trip is, as always, correct. They set out to release both updates on Nov 15th, but the two-way was not released - I am a bit worried as they did not provide a new date for the two-way S/W, just a "changed deadline" remark. 

    @Trip: will there be some type of hardware add-on to the BM5, a USB wifi-thing to make the two-way work, or will it require that your BM5 is hardwired into a home network router that also provides wifi?

    It just has to sit on the same network as the one available throughout the house.

    It Doesn´t matter if it hard wired or have a wifi dongle but have of to be on same network

    It was a joke. Hence my comment the dealer has"jokingly" said.

    The long awaited 2-way enabling software for the Beo6 has just been released by B&O (version 2.11a) and it is available via a new Config Tool software version.

    Enjoy this new exciting functionallity for the BS/BM5 and BS5 Encore !

    Be patient - de-installing of the recent Beo5/6 Config Tool takes a little time
    installing the new version also does Smile ...
