Does anybody know what's the problem (and how to sort it out) if the Beosound 9000 clamper moves towards the selected cd but does not pick it up, (and does not play it)

Generally clean everything and it might work.

Failing that a B&O service centre will clean it all for you and charge a small fortune and call it a 'service'.
