    Using Beo4 with BeoSystem 2500 / Comparing Beosytem 2500 with Beosound 1

    Hi All:

    I recently got the beo4 remote control for my beosystem 2500. However, I am not familiar with commands on beo4 - for example I cannot figure out how to access AUX using the beo4. I am able to do pretty basic things like play CD or tape. I guess I want to know all the controls available using beo4.

    It will be great if we can come up with a summary of each control available..like showing the time left, elapsed on a CD, Current FM station frequency...etc..

    Is there a way to control the intensity of the Information panel  "orange diplay"

    Up for discussion:

    In my humble opinion I find beosystem 2500 to be superior than recent beosound 1. Since i got the beosystem 2500 I find beosound 1 to be not upto mark..may be iam comparing oranges to apple here..what do you guys think

    Thanks again

    Welcome to Beoworld, Spdoi18!

    You first hav to add A-aux to the list function:

    • press the standby button and at the same time the list button, you should see config? in the screen of your Beo4;
    • press list until you see add? and then press go, you will now see the text on the screen of your Beo4 is blinking;
    • press list until you see A-aux and then press go until it stops blinking. The function is now added to your Beo4 and you can press exit.

    You can add other commands in the same way.

    On your Beo4 you can press list and wait until you see A-aux, than press go go and Bob's your uncle.

    AFAIK you cannot change the intensity of the display.
