    BeoSound 9000 Issue

I have a pre owned BeoSound 9000 (six disk) system that I have recently acquired.  The system was in storage for some time and had a good amount of dust on it. After cleaning it it work well for about a week. Now it seams to be having an issue playing cd's. This happens intermittently but the changer will get stuck on a disk and not move. If i try and press a cd it will stay at its current position and not grab the cd... then it will turn itself off. The strange part is if I try and hit cd then hit radio, the display will still say "CD 3" or whatever disk its trying to go to then turn off.

Its very strange because it happens intermittently sometimes if I unplug the system for awhile then turn it back on its fine.

Any suggestions? Is their away I could reset the system?

Its a MKII if that helps at all.

Quick: Recheck your dusting/cleaning and make sure that the (2) two small clear pyramidal bosses are SPOTLESS!

    OK

On to Quick Step 2: Are the orientation screws on the back of the BS set correctly?

It might be a failing CD mechanism and you'll have to take it to the shop.  Unsure

BeoSound 9000, Beolab 8000, BeoLab 4000.   Beogram 4002/Grado Gold Amina conversion.

    UPDATE:

I took it in to B&O and all it turned out to be was dirty. Apparently a bunch of gunk built up on the track and caused it to stick. After cleaning it and testing it for a few days it worked just fine.

    Re: BeoSound 9000 Issue

    Hello
I have question regarding my Beosound 9000:
When playing CDs and tracks in random order, some time afterwards it paused (each time in another CD from the six). Can you advise me if there a malfunction in the beosound 9000? Or may be the optics of the CD mechanism has to be clean? If so, how can I clean it?Can I use cleaning CD?Or may be something else to be done? Please advise.
    Thanks Eli
