Beogram 1100 turning slow.... and getting worse

    Hi all,

I already posted this in the workbench forum, but got no replies... please forgive me if I am being pushy but I am really desperate to solve this problem:

All of a sudden my beogram makes a scratchy noise. I already excluded the belt and other components, the noise is coming from the motor.

What should I do? Open the motor up? I think it is the bearings of the motor that have gone noisy due to lubrication problems (beogram's been still for years, before I bought it two months ago).

Anything special to keep in mind when working on a motor like this?

Or is this a sign of the entire motor being bad, and should I start looking for a new one?

     Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Chieljan

EDIT: the noise is gone now... but it's turning way too slow! I dont know what to do anymore, my poor old beogram...

Nevermind, problem's solved by sewing machine oil as suggested in other topics. Shouldn't have used silicone spray first, doesn't work good!
