buzzing, beogram 3404 after prolonged use

    can't figure this one out...

after a certain amount of time (maybe 3/4 through a record), i am getting a slight buzz through both speakers.  it will continue after the record stops.  if i switch to "tape" or  tuner on the receiver (a beomaster 2400) the buzzing goes away, only to return when switched back to phono.

the problem is exasperated (dramatically) when i touch the arm, or the cartridge, or wobble the platter.

i just bought a brand new cartridge, (in the hope that it would alleviate the problem), but still... the dreaded buzz.

    any ideas?

    thanks kindly.

Probably an earthing issue. What amp do you have the Beogram connected to, does it have a DIN connection or are you using some kind of an adapter in between?
