    Help!!! Can any one on this wonderful site explain if it is possible to use a German spec Beocom 1000 on a BT Land line in UK iv'e recently won it on a certain " web auction site" its fitted with a German TAE plug i get a dialing tone but no ring tone any help or advice would be much appreciated

    I think Keith Saunders is the man.
    It may be that the plug is wired up differently. I'm sure someone will come along shortly to help you.

    I don't think there will be too much of a problem. I successfully used a German Beocom 6000 for years until it got dropped in the bathEmbarrassed so compatibility shouldn't be an issue. As Andy says, you may just need some adaptor or differently wired plug.
