  • Re: White 70s Beosystem 2000 for sale

You'll regret that sooner or later. They sure are amazing. I had to get rid of all the stuff I don't really use - after selling various Beomasters, Beograms and Beocenters all that remained was this system and a white BC 1800. Took me over a month to make up my mind. In the end, the BC is just more convenient for my small apartment - and I prefer

I could also send it "over there". No problem. Something around 65€. The BM should work, but the BG won't run on 60Hz. But it shouldn't be too hard to find a matching motor - it's the same one used on most of the early Beograms...

  • White 70s Beosystem 2000 STILL for sale - Germany

While I'd love to keep this, I just don't have the space anymore. Beomaster 2000 & Beogram 2000. Bought from the first owner, with all paperwork (warranty, delivery papers, manuals). Manuals are international (German/French/Dutch). Restored some months ago. Changed the caps, lights and most pots on the BM, changed the belt and re-lubricated

  • Re: Beogram 2000/1000 Idler wheel noise

As I had nothing to lose, I slightly sanded the edge of the idler wheel - to get rid of eventual bumps and to increase traction. This actually helped. The wheel is still audible, but much quieter. Speed is still correct. But thanks for your advice! Actually Terry was recommended to me before - still have an old Tandberg that needs a new pinch roller

  • Beogram 2000/1000 Idler wheel noise

Hi, I have some trouble with a Beogram 2000 and Beogram 1000 (the early 2000 with the mechanism similar to the 1000). Sound reproduction is fine, but once the motors start spinning they are rather noisy and pretty annoying. The motors itself are quiet. It's the idler wheel that makes all this noise. I had a BG 1800 with the same idler wheel and

The now complete setup (of course playing a white LP ): The Beogram finally works, but the motor is rather noisy. Guess I'll have to disassemble it once more...

Several hours and a lot of swearing later: Dial is finally working. I hope it stays that way... Reassembled and….it works!

Alright, disregard that previous post. 14V 80mA indeed works just fine. I just shouldn't have tested it in the basement. The dial broke again after just one week. Someone got a spare? I'm really losing my patience here...

This is definitely one of the best looking pieces. And guess what, I even have the white one. Also got the matching Beogram. All complete with manuals and delivery notes from 1976. Right from the first owner. Took me more than half a year to restore this thing…but now I'm almost finished! All the small things…the presets were all stuck
