BTW, I'm sure I contributed to this discussion saying that I heard hissing through my BL9s connected to the MKIV. Where are those posts?
I also remember that Moxxey. But I think we have run across a few posts on fairly the same subjects. I spoke to my dealer today, who has replaced a previous dealer now shut

Hi Russ, and welcome :-) I can not help you unfortunately, but I think your chances might improve if you try this post in the Private Wanted section further down on the main forum site. Happy hunting!

Hi Obermurkler! Thank you. I am aware of the fans, but it it's them they are quite more noisy than on my previous MK II where they could not be heard at all... This sound can even be heard distinctly as a background humming when watching tv and that is not ok... :-) Don't you agree?
BeoCare responed to my mail and said that it shuld be 1920x1080p 100Hz when you watching a SD 50Hz source. And 1920x1080p 96Hz when you watching a 24p source. A new firmvare will fix this interpolation issue! So now we don´t have 100Hz updating freqvens on the BV7 MkIV.
I can confirm that my two day old

Hi folks. My new MK IV makes a distinct but very noticable hummingsound when it is turned on. It sounds about like a hard disk drive going at full speed. I have checked, and the sound is NOT from the internal BD drive. It also does it without dvd mode being active, more specifically when it presents a picture. As soon as the screen is blank, it goes

Ok. Thanks. I'll try that. But... Has anyone experienced that their MK IV makes a significant humming sound when turned on? Sounds like a fan, or a drive at full speed.... Do I need to contact the dealer. Quite annoying actually. I did not say anything before as I thought it was my Apple TV's hdd, but now I know it is the TV. Also my Beolab
It's available in the Customer Service menu. Do a search across the forum to find how to access this (or just read this thread!).
I have no probelm accessing the service menu, but I can not find the settings in question. Hz output for instance... Nothing with regard to signal...

FINALLY something POSITIVE :-D
Hey, to be fair, I was only 'negative' as my MKIV was a disaster. Seriously. That and the fact that no-one from B&O ever apologises.
I know moxxey, I know! As much as I find it disturbing to hear about all the flaws and problems
