Hi John, I hear you and totally agree .. we all adjust our perceptions constantly of what constitutes value to us, this is guided, as you say by our current incomes, the economic climate, and our wishes and desires of what is important.... 5 years ago I wouldn't have spent the money I have on my vintage system, couldn't have justified it to

Hi Peter, I really think this is a case of 'perceived value', much like the general forum threads about B&O modern equipments value... I for one know I have spent much in excess of what many others would for my 25 + year old system.... my original 6000 w 80.2 I spent around S$1750 (870 GBP) buying and shipping the system here... about another

Hi Kevin, I'm with John, I think the 6000 system is a excellent introduction.... This was my first piece of vintage B&O and I love it.... Also I made this decision after much research and consideration... Living half way around the world away from most of the vintage B&O I wanted to make the right decision... My first thought was to get

Hi Michael, Given that you feel your cost savings are significant, I would go for it... You will need to buy a good quality step down transformer to convert the 220Volt incoming power in Oz to the 110volt of the US equipment otherwise you'll fry the unit! Good Luck with it. Laurence.

Hey Fredrik, Amazing job your doing there, never seen one stripped down like that .... OK, so, I have a question from a complete novice, I'm fascinated...how did you get new circuit boards to match the originals? Would have thought these were customised... but what do I know? She'll be a beauty when your finished ..... just like new literally

Thanks Graham, Must have read my mind..... Actually I sent him an email early this morning to just that! Awaiting his reply... Have purchased some speaker cables and another DIN / RCA cable from Steve and was extremely happy with the quality of products.... Thanks again. Laurence Edit: Hi Martin, point noted and bookmark duly deleted! Thanks for the

Hi there, Looking for a datalink beogram (phono) cable to connect my new BG8002 to my BM6000... The one that came with the BG doesn't seem to work despite having it resoldered and tested.... Am hoping that just a new cable is needed... Currently using the RCA connection, would like to get the datalink working though... Will pay for cable and necessary
