  • Re: Heat from BM8000 heat sinks

Hi Geoff, I have the same generation 6000 which is said to 'run hot' compared to the 8000 and even after higher volumes running for hours it never gets hot enough that you cannot touch the metal fins.... So I would say it sounds as though something is not performing as it should causing yours to run hotter. Now, If you are technically minded

  • Re: Apple and B&O

Hi, Have to agree with you Bayerische, while I also have an Ipod, Iphone etc playing music off them never really seems 'real' to me... I actually enjoy the process of choosing a CD (unfortunately don't have a BS9000 to choose 6 ) putting it on, and just listening till the end. Maybe we're are not old fashioned ..... Just think about

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 static at 3.0 volume

I'm sure you can erradicate your gremlin, had one about 2 years ago, started with the washer, then dryer, fridge and then the WC! Always everything at once! and the reason you bother... cause you probably seem to enjoy them more than if you were to buy something brand new... Kinda nice to have something 20 + years old still sounding great and not

  • Connection to Phono Input

Hi All, I would like to connect an additional source (not a turntable) to my Phono input and I have seen on Ebay there is a device that you can get to deal with the magnitised phono inputs... What is this called and does anyone know where I can get this? Would prefer to buy from reputable source if possible. Thanks.

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 static at 3.0 volume

Hi Eric, From what I understand when you connect an Ipod and I would assume also your PC to the BM you should have the output at full. So maybe this has solved your problem? Martin is right 2 years must be a record to service something ... I think getting the part yourself would be a wise decision....Oh and definitely let them finish the BM6000 first

Hey, Just a bit of an update and a couple of questions which I thought I would share with everyone as others may have similar issues they need to resolve. Have been monitoring the 'haunting' (thanks Solderon) of this unit, and as its been quite sporadic and hasn't posed any real issue, I delayed doing anything till I go away in a few weeks

  • Re: BeoSound 5 price this can not be true?

I am going to wait to BS5 is launched prior to commenting on the actual product, but I thought that I might offer some thoughts for all to consider regarding B&O brand positioning. After reading much of the speculation and frustrations on this thread.... my opinion is that as a brand B&O is at a cross roads.... I think that what many have not

  • Re: USA & Used B&O Market

Hi Linder, You perhaps missed it but I have been to your beautiful city, my sister now lives in Saint Charles outside of Chicago. And, yes I have been into the city numerous times, how could I not!.... which is filled with so many wonderful buildings and works, by the likes of Mies, Gehry etc, and not to mention all the early skyscrapers! Also went

  • Re: USA & Used B&O Market

My sister lives in the US and I have noticed on my visits there that the Average American consumer is very, very conservative. All the upper middle class neighbourhoods she has lived in and surrounds them, in both LA and now Chicago are both filled with classically styled homes, and it is all very pretty and picturesque, in a leave it to beaver sort
