• Re: Sound delay?
I don`t think AV3 - V.MEM solution will help, because AV3 output socket should be before the delay stage of the BV8. I would connect the Pioneer via Powerlink. Maybe to a normal source input - this works in my setup with a BM7000, or to poweramp input of the Pioneer if there is one. In this way you can control volume
WHat I'm not sure about is how you could grab the sound as it comes out of the tv by one of the AV inputs/outputs. Any ideas?
Hi! We have a new chip and a BV3-32 with stb-c. But where is the chip located. You say it´s not that complicated a job. The bv is dismantled but can´t find the chip
I highly recommend to upgrade to gold membership to get access to service manual for the tv. The chip is quite well hidden behind the

  • Re: Beosystem 3 phantom center

I forgot that there is AST. It might be the answer to your scenario - visit your local dealer to get a demo. It is more advanced sound prosessing than phantom setup is. Maybe Geoff can explain further how surround sound is decoded with AST?

  • Re: Beosystem 3 phantom center

I just tried this - it is not possible. If you deselect center speaker you cannot choose speaker mode 5 anymore, you only have speaker 2 or 4 options and speaker 4 is just stereo signal thru all speakers and some bass boost. Just to make sure everyone understand what phantom center channels means: In surround sound setup some (or maybe most) other brand

BV3-28, MX8000 and BV6-22 are quite similar sw wise and these all can be updated with Service Tool / IR Table Generator. Something your dealer / installer can easily do at home or in shop. Avant, BV3-32, old MX and BV5 need to have the chip to be changed. Not that complicated job either.
