A while ago I replaced the Caps and opamps in my Beomaster 7000 using, in part, the excellent article found on this site written by Die_Bogener. That upgrade made a significant improvement to the sound quality! This inspired me to upgrade my BM5500 as well which was in sore need of some attention. So here is a quick guide to what I’ve done to

I did the cap and opamp upgrade on my BG7000 recently. Used Die_bogeners excellent article on the upgrade process as a reference. The improvement in sound quality is very noticable. Removing the SMD opamps requires a lot of patience but well worth the effort! There is also a very good article on upgrading the Beogram here: http://www.condoraudio.com

I recently aquired a Beolink 5000 in very good cosmetic condition. However, the two way function would not work. Was consistently getting "No Contact" showing in the display. Having disassembled the remote it became very apparent that it was suffering the same fate as the Beolink 7000's do ie. The SMD capacitors have leaked onto the pcb

Hi, Anyone know where I can purchase online some 4 pin speakerlink plugs? I see that there are pre-made cables available with them but I would like to make up my own set.

Yes, I have the service manual. I've not taken the little aluminium box apart but from what I can see on the SM there is only one bulb inside. I've tested the external points with a meter and this indicates continuity.

I’m in the process of restoring a BeoMaster 2400-2. This is what I’ve done so far: Replaced ALL the electrolytic caps, including the two large filter caps with low ESR 105Deg units. Replaced the no load trimmer resistors and adjusted no load to 12mV as per SM. Replaced all the transistors on Board 3 (Volume Control). Replaced D48, 12V Zener

I’ve just completed an overhaul of my Penta MK2’s. Here’s what I’ve done to date: Refoamed mid ranges Cut off spade connectors and solder wires directly to speaker terminals Replaced electrolytic capacitors on filter boards with Audyn MKT capacitors Cut off spade terminals and solder wires to crossover boards. Change wiring so

I’m in the process of restoring a pair of Penta MK2’s. So far have refoamed the mid-ranges and recapped the filter boards. Am now going to replace all the capacitors on the Amplifier board in the base. Has anyone done this, and to this extent? Am thinking of using Nichicon capacitors but am unsure as to whether I should go for the low ESR

The site in question is the only one that I'm aware of that sell the Penta mid-range rings (they also sell them on ebay). I purchased direct from their web site, not eBay. Never received the rings nor did I get any responce to the multiple emails asking where the goods were.

I have a pair of Penta MK2’s that have the all too common mid-range speaker rot. I was going to attempt to refoam them, having purchased new foam rings from a site in Holland that specialises in foam rings. Unfortunately I got ripped off by them so have no foam rings. So, my next option is to replace the drivers. I see that someone has replaced
