Do American units have a voltage selector?
-
Bludy eck I've made this one! Good luck to everyone :)
-
If I am to be really honest, if you haven't experienced B&O stuff previously this system might not be your best start! It really is quite a complicated beast!
-
We have recently discuused batteries and stressed that they should not be used!
-
unfortunately folks, from what I can see any 6000 quad with a nice to mint exterior is extremely unlikely to be a writeoff internally, unless hit by a thunderstorm!!!
-
VOX Pentas, M150's, MS150's RL140's / RL7000 S120's would all be happy with the 8000. A Beogram 8000, 8002 would be nice but tbh any of the non line level decks would be fine. How about a CDX / CDX2 for your cd source?
-
No I didn't replace the level trimmers, as these were fine after a clean! Not sure what advice to give but it does kind of look like a commited job! BTW If you find a new source of these overly large pots then let me know out of interest.... I guess Dillen / Frede are the folks to ask though!

Does anyone know if you can switch loudness in/out with a mk3 control? I can achieve this with my mk2 using a shift command but not on my mk3... *I should add this is with my master 5500...

I like the old school stuff :)
Me too - I got one of the Philips EE2000 kits from my father around 1979. He brought it from Germany and so most of the material was in German, which slowed me down a bit because I was eleven or something I had plenty of fun with it and amended it

Might be a good idea to purchase an electronics project lab or set, this will familiarise yourself with the basics and you can build little radios and transistor amplifiers etc.
Conrad has kits for beginners
I like the old school stuff :)
