I have also bought a Beocenter 4600 with the counterweight missing. My solution was to find a defective Beogram with the same arm. I found a Beogram 1902 without pickup and in poor condition - very cheap (100 DKKr -approx. 17-18$). I took the counterweight from that -and the motor (so I have a spare). And the rest of it went to the recycling station

Why not just buy a Phono to DIN cable? The aux on BS 3000 is 7 pin DIN. Why the mini-jack's in the middle?

[quote user="wesheltonj"] One more thing about China. As I have said before they make good in the trash can products. As an example. My 4th in under a year Samsung BD-D7500 Blu-ray player has just bit the dust. These are $350 US each, that 4 in under a year. And they only reason to buy this china crap, is because its PUC code for B&O.

Welcome to BeoWorld You can replace it with any pickup in the MMC 20 -series. There was '20 S', '-E', '-EN' and '-CL'. And (but i'm not sure about this) -I think you can also use the previous line of pickups, called MMC 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000. You can buy new cartridges from Soundsmith in USA. And Axel in Germany

I've just bought two CD 50's. One fully functional -and the other one in parts. I was told that the seller's father had given up on it -there was a new belt for the CD drawer which I -offcourse - will mount before assembly... Here you see it as it was when i brought it home. Seems like everything is there -except some screws and washers
