As others have said, it does sound a lot like the 'cue dot' that is often used by broadcasters during live broadcast to inform their regions when the adverts are about to begin. Does it happen just before or at the end of an ad break, and does it look a bit like this?
What codes should I get for free on installation?
Whatever you need or want, provided it's available.

From experience from one afternoon of trying to do this, the BV7-32 doesn't report its resolutions (via EDID) correctly. Linux reports it as invalid, at least. So I struggled to persuade it to accept the native resolution from my PC. It also has other issues, meaning the TV won't even show anything during POST and bootup. The DVI is a bit of

I'm currently looking for a bluray player, and had found the BD-C6500 and thought it looked a good bet. I have a couple of questions for anyone who's got one: - What PUC are you actually using to control it? From the list on beoworld, it appears only older Samsung Bluray players are supported. Either the new ones are backward compatible, or
May I ask a stupid "musical feature" question : is the Beosound 5 now able to play songs gapless ??? Because that is a huge flaw that really put me out of buying this.
It always has been. You just need to use a format that supports gapless properly (i.e. as part of the standard) and not as some proprietary
The Beosound 5 does not provide a seamless connection to your iTune library.
I still fail to see how this would even be helpful. You want to be free of the constraints of a platform like iTunes (which on Windows is hideous, and I wouldn't touch with a barge pole), or indeed any other platform. You also don't

It is possible that the Beomaster's app isn't built to output 5.1 sound and will only do PCM2.0. Check if it does it in WMP. That said, if it does, then I'd be looking in the Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel - I think it's in here you can tell it it has 5.1 speakers connected. That way the Windows sound system won't downmix
But, due to the fact that the AVI container is not suitable for 5.1 channel sound, I therefore want to use a MKV container with H.264 video encoder and AC-3 audio encoder with 5.1 channels at 48.000hz.
This isn't true - I have many avi files with XviD and AC3 5.1 audio tracks. That said, the mkv container

It's hard because it's not built as a native HD-ready TV. It was designed to have analogue inputs, and anything else was tacked on later. You'll need the HD hardware and software upgrades mentioned above, else it's just a PC monitor. And you won't get a PS3 to work on most PC monitors due to HDCP issues. The USB software updates
What exactly is the point of the dvb hdmi ? Can't you just have 3 hdmi's and use sky.
I'd be tempted to do that. You can disable it in the software. I'd happily buy one without the module and save the cash, but unfortunately selling a TV without Freeview capability in the UK isn't allowed anymore
