• Re: Beovision 10 - Freeview HD (DVB-HD/DVB-T2)

Are you sure? The Spec lists DVB-T, and Freeview HD is DVB-T2. It's not backwards compatible.

  • Re: CAT5

Yes. They're both just 4 pair cables that look pretty much identical. Just one is rated for higher bandwidths.
Cat 5 will work.... not with beonet but using it for ML and / or PL.
Well, it might. We'll just have to wait and see. For the communcations part of Beonet, it may be likely they just use standard IP over Ethernet. If they require gigabit (not hugely likely), then CAT5e (most likely what's installed) is

  • Re: Beolab 5 upgrade from beolab 9 questions

As above, I really wouldn't waste you're time with a standalone DAC. In simple terms, the BL5 signal path either goes: Analogue Line in -> ADC -> DSP -> DAC -> Output or Digital in -> DSP -> DAC -> Output So putting a DAC in to convert to analogue immediately before it gets converted straight back to digital is a bit of

  • Re: Apple TV+SkyHD+XBox 360 connected to BV7-32, HOW?

I don't think a non-HDMI BV7 will control an HDMI expander. It is a possible solution if you want to control it manually. Though you'll also need something to switch the audio too.
B+O logic would be Ethernet called ethernet, but maybe same signal, which to my opinion would make sense. Why do you think it would fry them?
I'm not entirely sure what you're saying, but I'd agree with the above comment. MasterLink is not Ethernet. They would fry because they're totally different

Wouldn't think so - it's be advertised as ML if it supported it. Doing that would probably fry the BS5 or the masterlinked products.

  • Re: New Catalogue is online now!

Yes there is - Ethernet. New B&O products will be linked using traditional networking (apparently). Eventually, a device to bridge between this and MasterLink will be created. This is all in other threads, but no one seems able to keep the same stuff in the same place - we just end up with loads on the same topic. Here's a couple: http://forum

I think you have to be patient and wait for some sort of masterlink converter. Apparently this won't be coming as soon as people would like.

  • Re: Beo6 Y-FI?

So you'd rather they had a load of products that support wifi, and no remote to control them? I think the key is 'yet'. BS5 will be updated shortly, I believe.
