  • Re: BeoVision 10 bad panels

Hi KMA, I read this part of your post: "All the above may sound harsh: I just get quite irritated when I hear any claims that manufacturers say an obvious defect is somehow inherent to a technology, or a design thereof" and realised I may have misled you in my comment. I did not mean that the clouding fault is acceptable as clearly it is not

Hi KMA. Good luck with your complaint but not sure how good your chance of getting a fix is. Web forums are full of Samsung LED clouding issues. Seems to be a basic design problem (characteristic?) of the lightguide rather than a manufacturing fault - most run fine, some cloud from the start. Some reports of replacement panels that run OK for a while

  • Re: Beocenter 9000 versus Beocenter 9300

If the 9000 works and does what you need its maybe not worth wasting money on the 9300 as the spec is no better.

Oops - Mueller worked for Braun in the early 1960s, not the 1060s!!!!

There is surprisingly little about Gerd Mueller on the web but, in design terms, he's certainly been in the right places at the right time. I don't believe he ever did any significant work for B&O in terms of product design, but he also did a lot of graphic design during the 60s and 70s so maybe he worked for them then. Anyway, Mueller worked

Andreas, No, not to start an argument. Just to point out that everyone has a different perspective on value. Chris

Andreas, You were not too stong in your comments and I understand why you feel a Rolex watch is worth the money. I understand your agument but for me a Rolex is meaningless. I don't want an a work of art on my wrist - I just want to tell the time. But I understand why others - including you - feel differently. So for me, B&O equipment is pretty

Hi Andreas (bayerische), This risks wandering off the thread but I respond to your question. I assume you use the Rolex avatar because you admire the product or company. They - like B&O - are premium priced but some people are prepared to pay for that. Others aren't. That does not mean that Rolex has its pricing wrong. Same goes for B&O

  • Re: The MADE IN DENMARK product thread :-)

Who's to say that B&O's pricing does not reflect their decision to use lower cost - Czech Republic is not exactly Vietnam - manufacturing locations. The annual report tells you they are not exactly rolling in cash at the moment. Anyway, I know from first hand experience that the Czech Republic has some great craftsmen and engineers - many
