  • Re: Buying BeoCenter 9300/9500 classic - questions

Hi avus17, I bought a used 9300 and pondered over pretty much the same questions before I did so you might find my comments of some use. 1. Doctor is correct that the 9500 has a more sophisticated specification but the 9300 is more recent (production stopped in 2000) and most parts are still available. So if you can get a later model - and don't

  • Re: S75 v BL8000

I have BL8000s and like them very much. They sound good considering the size/styling, etc. But there are many wooden box speakers - including B&O ones - that sound better at a much lower price. My advice, for what it's worth, is that if you are happy with wooden boxes in your room don't waste your time and money with B&O - go to a specialist

  • Re: BV6-26 (Type 9272) and WakeUp Timer

I could be wrong but I don't think the BV6-26 will accept a DTV module of any type, at least not the early ones. I believe only the BC6-26 did. You'd need to get B&O to confirm that from the type number.

  • Re: Unbelievable CDX

I seem to remember my CDX having "Made in Austria" on the tag but I'm sure that makes no difference to the sound - I agree it is pleasantly warm. I think they were made for B&O by Philips rather than being made by B&O using Philips parts. Maybe that accounts for the dry solder joints that are the Achilles heel of the CDX. Joints

  • Beolink converter with BC6-26 and BC9300

Hi, I am a complete novice when it comes to connecting B&O equipment so I hope someone will be kind enough to help me out with an answer to this query. I've just acquired a Beolink converter 1611 to connect my Beocenter 9300 (MCL) music system to my Beocenter 6-26 TV (ML). I wish to put the sound from the TV through the two speaker sets connected

  • One for the watch fanatics

Apologies if this is off-topic but I know there are loads of watch fanatics posting on this site. There's an interesting glimpse into the premium watch industry available as a podcast from the BBC right now. First broadcast last night. Here's the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/worldbiz/

  • Re: beocentre 2200

Agree with the post above from Chris - and I also used my 2200 with RL45s. I still have those, too, even though they now never get used. Just can't seem to let any B&O go! Crazy.

  • Re: beocentre 2200

The 2200 was part of a B&O strategy to reach a new (read that as lower budget) customer. And for me, at least, it worked as I had (and still have) one along with some newer and better equipment. They are not really representative of real B&O equipment BUT they do look very nice and you can buy one in pretty good condition for less than £50

  • Re: Fans in TV's

I have a BC6-26, which also has a fan. If you mute the sound and get really close you can just about hear the fan. Otherwise not.
