Thanks JK, I thought the BL3 would be a good choice. I will try just the BL3s and determine whether or not I need the addtional bass from the BL2 (I am not a big booming bass type). The problem with the BL3s is that my wife does not like their looks..... hopefully I can win that argument. The BL9s are likely too big for this space as the TV and all

I am in the process of setting up a media hub in a second home that centers around the BV 8. The goal is to have all audio and some (rented) video coming through the Apple TV with remote control and all "cable"-type programming coming from the Tivo with remote control. I have read some of the extensive discussion on similar set-ups in this

If you have not tried out Thinkmap's Visual Thesaurus (http://www.visualthesaurus.com/) you should. Go to thier website and put in a word (you will be prompted to indicate that you are just trying the service) and you will see a nice dynamic display of the associtaed words. It gets very dynamic for ceratin words (usually common words) where there

I do think that the ultra-rich are slowing their spending, for example: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/01/fashion/01rich.html?em&ex=1212552000&en=d3fe3d03622d334b&ei=5087%0A However, I have not considered B&O to be an ultra-luxury brand. I see B&O as more of a "design-centric" brand where it just so happens that the cost

j0hnbarker, Yes, and I clearly did not state the obvious. My experience is that it is much faster. Also, the independence from the BS2 base with respect to music management allows you to put the base anywhere you want since you do not have to get to the USB plug. Mine now sits in a spot where it can nicely display the BS2. As I understand the workings

I agree with the previous posts. I have owned the Beosound 2 since the introduction and have been completely satisfied with the performance. I currently own 3 (one for travel, one for my main residence, and one for the secondary residence). The traveling unit has seen extensive use (daily in my office for 4-8h, 200-250 days a year) and was entirely

Keith, I have been traveling and did not get a chance to try the helpful advice you provided. I now have and everything seems to be working fine. The required scan was the problem. Thanks again for the help.

Any date on the removal of the Samsung logo from the Serene??.... and any possibility of an upgrade to the Serene with the addition of an 850MHz band?? The fourth band would make connectivity in the US much more solid.

Keith, Thanks for the welcome and the quick response. I was unaware of the needed card scan. However my current problem would appear to be further up stream. When I put a card that I have been using in a Beosound 2 (and which was "loaded" through the Beosound 2 base) into the card reader, it readily recognizes all of the files and file names

I have a Beosound 2 and would like to use a card reader to fill the SD cards with music from iTunes. In the software downloads section of the B&O site, there is an update with new firmware. It is stated in the info section on the update to "click here" for a supplimentary guide to using card readers. Unfortunately there is no active link
