  • Re: cannot store tv stand position (MX7000)

Hi On my MX7000, it works as follows: With TV on, press MENU, SETUP, STAND. Message then says "turn stand to preferred position". Use left / right arrows to get correct position and GO to store it. EXIT and switch off. When you switch back on, stand will go to the preferred position. Regards Geoff

  • Re: Beomaster 2200 volume

Thanks Martin Yes, both channels are performing the same and the outputs are well balanced. I will check through the power supply once more, as you suggested and do it a bit more rigorously this time. It is a new experience for me to have something working extra loud when I usually spend most of my time trying to find reasons why signal strengths and

If you are referring to the connectors that are shown in the photo attached, the bare ends of the ribbon cables simply push into the black connector where they seem to be held in place by spring pressure and friction. Sometimes they do become loose and I have been able to re-establish a good contact by applying some light pressure on the pieces of silver

  • Re: Beomaster 2200 volume

Hi Martin Glad to receive your input. Didn't think that it could be normal behaviour because you certainly get a wake up call when you switch from tape to radio. I have checked my notes and did not make any changes to the power supply board. On my preliminary checks, all of the output voltages on P31 were fairly close to the listed values in the

  • Beomaster 2200 volume

I have recently completed refurbishing an old BM2200 and it now works nicely, sounds good and looks in pristine condition once again. One thing puzzles me though. When I use the tape input, the volume setting for a normal, average listening experience is between 3 and 4, i.e somewhere below mid range. However, when I switch to the radio channels, the

  • Re: LC2 repairs

Hi Keith Many thanks for all of the information on the LC2, I have now got a better idea of what I am dealing with and the following is now clear: The dome, the spiders web and the small plastic tube are all important in the touch control functionality. Since that is working OK, I shouldn’t be having any problems with those items. The IR functionality

  • Re: Bm 5000 panel won't open

As you say, you only have to acquire a small section of thin IDE cable, cut to length. Stripping the twenty ends was fun and games for me. Thereafter, you will need a soldering iron, solder sucker and an extremely gentle touch on a screwdriver to undo some awkward plastic lugs. As usual, the trick is to take lots of photos so that you get a good record

  • Re: Beolab 7-4 front cover

Short answer is yes. My discussions with my local B&O agent confirmed that I could order the front cover in a different colour and that it was fairly easy to change over. Yet to do it myself though. Regards Geoff
