Thanks for the advice. I did search other posts, and got quite a bit of information. So I looked closer at my BC9000, and noticed it was making a faint rubbing noise when the CD played. Like plastic on plastic. I opened it up again, and found the black plastic piece that opens with the "lid" and attaches below the CD door was not alligned

Hi - my BC9000 has decided it doesn't like playing entire CD's. It will play about 50-70% of the disc then start skipping on the track it's on. Especially CD-R's, but some purchased CD's as well. Is this something common? My BC9500 plays both just fine. Any fixes? Thanks

That's great advice. I'm glad I asked before I went in and started prying! Thanks

Hello all - I am going to look at a pair of BeoLab Penta II's later this week, and I'm wonderng if there is anything in particular I should take note of - other than speaker surrounds and hearing them play. Do the speaker grills remove easily for inspection of the drivers? And finally, are there four woofers per speaker that I should be concerned

Thanks for the info. What I got back from the B&O dealers in the US is that the part is only available from the UK and Denmark. Thankfully, the nice folks at LifeStyle-AV are taking care of it for me. Tim

Hi all, I am looking for the part number or replacement lower glass panel for a Beocenter 9500. I can't seem to get the sevice manual to download to look for the part number, as I am told it is available from B&O. If anyone knows about a good used panel, I would be interested in that as well. I just purchased an extremely nice Beocenter 9500

Thanks for all the feedback! I am going to have the chance to listen to both this weekend, but I have to say I am still leaning toward the 4400. I have a non-working 4400 that is really beat up and missing some of the slides on the front (too ugly to fix), but I just like the look. I prefer the look of the BM6000 quad, and hope to have one someday,

I have an opportunity to purchase either a BM4400 or BM6000, the 80's version (can't afford both or I would). I have read good things about both, and am looking for insight from anyone who has experience with either or both. Both are in near-mint condition from a private collection, and would sell for about the same price. I don't have any

It is connected to a Beomaster 5000, so the RIAA amp is there. I've also plugged in my BG3300 and it works just fine - so the problem lies in the BG5000 itself. I am going to follow Peter's advice and check the DIN plug first, but I probably won't be able to get to it until the weekend.

The DIN plug does have some electrical tape around it - I'll check that first. I do have some new 7-pin plugs and could replace it. Thanks!
