hi everyone, i have recently moved my beogram cd3500 away from my beomaster 3500 and found the datalink cable to be 6 inches too short, i couldn't find an extension cable (male to female) so set about making my own, i have made a data link cable before to connect my beovision lx5500 to my beocenter 9000 which was fine, but this time i was in a rush

havent been on for a bit, thanks dillen for yr advice unfortunately i read it just after connecting by beosysten 3500 to my beosystem 3000 and now they both dont work i was advised on here that it would be ok, but obviously wasnt now two of my systems are down ive been inside the 3000 and can see the zenner on the tape deck but having trouble distinguishing

thanks again keith, i know they charge an hourly rate, but two years ago in worcester b&o it was £40 still cant afford the £85 now for a system that cost me £200 inc 2 redlines and a beolink 1000. i do have a beosystem 3000. tried to link the cd3500 to the master3000 and used the 3000 terminal to try it (in a rush) the beocoed3000

cheers keith, will try asap. if it is what you say, is it repairable? also, dont suppose you or anyone else knows why b&o in shrewsbury near where i live want £85 just to look at it for an hour? rediculous if you ask me????? thanks j

hi russ, thanks for the advice. tried it and had no luck. i have a beosystem 3000 dont know if i can use this to test the 3500 system? thanks j
