Only the BV7-40 has the BS3 chassis, the 32"-version doesn't.

Well I have to agree with you both, but if they want to sell products in this economic environment they will have to be a bit less forthcoming with the excuses and a bit more eager to cut prices. As you say it probably won't happen.

With a cut in VAT seemingly on the cards - reducing the current rate of 17.5% to 15% - can we expect B&O dealers to reduce prices accordingly? For example, Beolab 5's are currently £9787.23 exc VAT = £11500 RRP. If we apply VAT at 15% to the base figure of £9787.23 then = £11255.32, so it is a saving of almost £250

Thanks Peter, do I have to become a Gold Member to access the Service Manuals? You have been most helpful. I feel like Henry Kelly as in 'Going for Gold.'
-
Ah, new service counters....... Can anyone explain in simple terms what SCREEN (DAYS) BASIC (DAYS) AV (DAYS) specifically refer to? I've got the days bit already! Thanks
-
I'm not sure all enthusiasts on this forum are taken with the BS5 - am going to see one today, but expect it to be nothing more than an impressive interface to basic functionality. As well as the Acoustic-Lens based speakers, BS9000 is a great product - this should be updated with a Blu-Ray/DVD drive and DAB Radio to make a 'killer' product
-
It is like chasing your tail IMHO - if you go for the HD option, then you will probably want better than 720p (BV7 MK1 & 2) which put you into MK3 territory and inflated prices. BV5 was bought on the strength of the image and sound and some people thought it so impressive they shelled out 13 big ones for one. No reliability issues, still as good

Flappo The Grate: did you know , michelangelo and leonardo were BOTH left handed !? Well there are another two people who would have been alienated by this leftist outrage. I mean, they make left-hand drive cars for left-handers, why not a Beosound 5?
-
Not cheap? A veritable bargain, thanks for this, very interesting. The title TouchDiva is a bit poor IMHO but exciting product, let's wait and see. I want one (or at least the concept of it!). I wonder if it will have DIN or LINE outputs? Found this interesting too................. http://www.investindk.com/visNyhed.asp?artikelID=20670 Looks like

KingOfSnake: OK here's how. 1) Connect PS3 via composite or scart adaptor so you can see the screen, picture quality poor but there you go - i.e. set sw to AV2, source as dvd2 and no HD - you simply want the ps3 image and access to the menus. 2) Choose DISPLAY SETTINGS on the PS3 menu 3) Choose Output medium as Component 4) Says SCREEN WILL GO BLANK
