Hi, the difference is only in a single PCB, but it is IMHO clearly a difference. If you are intending to use with a Beolab 2 or another subwoofer, then go for the cheaper option, it is down to whether you feel the premium you pay for Mark II speakers is justified.

From what I have read it looks as if you have notpressed down gentlyon the centre of the CD when you have loaded it - there should be no gap at all when you have placed it properly with the spindle at the centre. Good Luck!

Why 7-2? 7-1 would be better where space is an issue! So that is settled then, 7-4 in a BV9 is a mono centre speaker only.

Buy the best HDMI lead you can - QED are a good starting point and source of advice. There is a noticeable difference in quality between your lower quality cable/cheaper price and your high end stuff. If I had the money to spend on a BV9 I would not be scrimping on the cable between the source and target.

You seem to have a wiring diagram for the unit used in a bracket which accomodates the speakers - individual power leads and speaker leads will do. When the power is off detach the doors by gently easing them from the outside edge towards you - exerting pressure inwards or towards the centre of the stereo. You perhaps should have bought a 2300 or 3000

May I ask where you bought it from/why isn't the original owner assisting you? Was it placed in a Beosystem bracket originally?

Thanks but I still don't buy it - never before has the BV9 or BL7-40/7-4 been described as a stereo TV and if it were true it would be a key selling point for these TV's if you didn't want additional speakers. I'm still to be convinced that you don't need additional stereo speakers to use with a 7-4.

Jez: BV9 will play in stereo in conjunction with the mono acoustic lens if there is no other speakers connected to it, much like the BS1 speaker set up it has left and right drivers with individual amps. Check the specs, the speaker setup inside BV9 is more than capable of delivering sound on it's own. Go to a showroom and try it out on it's

Can I expand on this? Yes of course. At £5500 for a BS3 I cannot understand why anybody would pair it with a 720p BV4-50 panel, save for reasons of financial constraints and connectivity requirements - well there are two good reasons lol. If you have got £5500 to spend on a BS3, then the 1080p capable panels are far more suited, source dependent
