Thanks, Graham! I most certainly appreciate it!

Oh my! I know it's been a while since this posting, but if you still happen to have a pair of these brackets hanging around, and if you wouldn't mind shipping 'em across the pond (whatever courier you prefer--I'd be more than happy to pay for the shipping!), I'd be so wonderfully happy. I just picked up a lovely pair of Beolab 3000s

  • UPDATE: Beolab 3000. Good deal?

Bought them! 200 dollars. Cosmetically, they were dusty and dirty and smelled like cat, basement, or some combination of the two. After cleaning them up, there's about one pin-head sized ding in the aluminum, and a few scratches that I'm pretty sure I can buff out. (Any idea as to what would buff the metal the best?) Had to throw out the fabric

  • Beolab 3000. Good deal?

Hello all! I quite probably have the opportunity to buy a pair of Beolab 3000 (working condition, no foam rot, etc.) for $200. I think I'll get one RL60 thrown in to sweeten the deal as well. To all of your knowledge, is that a good deal? Are the 3000s rare enough, and is that a good enough price, to pay $200? I'm on a rather tight collegiate

  • Beosystem 5000, MUCH confusion!

OK guys, thanks in advance for answering my neophyte questions, so here goes nothing: I just got a Beosystem 5000 to go along with my 5500, and I LOVE the looks of it, esp. the turntable; however, I'm encountering two major problems . . . 1) When I turn on the Beomaster, it stays on for a while, responds to various functions, sounds good through

  • Re: BS5 Any news???

The Beonic Man: Consider the amount of people that look for vintage B&O as much (if not more) than they do the newer ranges. You could interpret this in a number of ways; one of which must surely be that a considerable proportion of existing and new customers aren't too interested about the more modern digital media direction. I don't think

  • Re: Beogram 5500, Fine Tuning?

Thanks guys. I swore I was missing something easy with using that remote. But you're right: it's more convenient anyway just to control it from the deck. Thanks again!

  • Beogram 5500, Fine Tuning?

Guess what?! I JUST completed my Beosystem 5500. Got my Beogram 5500 turntable tonight, and have been playing the Neutral Milk Hotel record (fantastic sounding on vinyl, if you haven't heard it). Anyway, messing around with the MCP, I hit Step Forward and it steps a few minutes ahead, but I'm finding it very troublesome to start a song at it's

Thanks so much. I have a lot to work on! Thanks for all the info -- everyone here always amazes me.

  • Beogram CD50 Question

Hello again. I recently purchased a Beogram CD50 along with a replacement Beomaster 5500 (found out the first one I purchased had problems with the channels: constant hum, etc.). Anyway, all from a one owner house, with manuals, no scratch marks (!) on top of either unit. Anyway, I hook up the CD50, and the first thing I notice is that when the CD disc
