Dear all, I understand that, until some years ago, B&O used low-impedance (speaker-level) signals. I have such cabling (7-wire) in my house. I also understand that, nowadays, high-impendance (line-level) signals are used, in combination with active speakers. However, if the same cabling is used, and, hence, line-level signals are transferred over

Thank you for this kind offer! I might be able to borrow something from a family member - will keep you posted!

Well it's not really messing is it, it's just connecting the right cables according to the specifications posted on this site. I will give it a try...

Hi, I'm based in Belgium, and I am certainly considering buying a system. On the other hand, I also would like to gain good technical understanding of the system - hence my questions :)

Thank you both for these clear and quick answers! In the coming months I might have to use my old audio system. I assume I can just connect the speaker outputs to the corresponding MCL wires - correct? Then, I would still need a 7V DC adapter and connect that one to the pink and ground wires, correct? A related question: if you 'mute' via the

Dear all, Yesterday I posted my first question on this forum, and I immediately got some very useful answers, which - together with some searching - helped me a lot in finding my way through the b&o landscape as a newcomer. But, not everything is clear yet. My situation is the following: I moved to a new house in which the previous owners have left

Hi, I think I am starting to understand - but can anyone confirm? - on 'older' systems (the one corresponding to the wiring I seem to have), the audio signals carried around are not line level, but speaker level (amplified). This means that by default, volume control happens at the 'master', and passive speakers can be used. Connection

Thanks for the quick answers! (great forum). I think this makes sense (i.e. it is a link room setup). In the main room, are the MCL and RF cables directly plugged into the audio sources? How can I recognise the MCL cables and RF cables? Related question: in the kitchen there is a similar transceiver and small white speakers. I assume they are passive

Dear all, I am very happy to have discovered the existance of this forum, as I recently moved to a house where the previous owner has left some parts of his b&o installation. So far, however, I am not a b&o user, but, having read about the wonderful possibilities, I am considering becoming a beo-user. Assisted by this wonderful site and by google
