Hi, More strange Penta behaviour.. I replaced a few caps in the amp board and it seemed fine again for all of that evening. Next morning I switched on and it was no longer working - I suspect a transistor may have failed so I'm ordering a new board (not ready for ICE just yet...) Does anyone know how the input mode switch is supposed to work? On

I replaced a few capacitors in the amplifier circuit and fired it up - strangely at first the amp was behaving the same as before, a mere whisper coming through the speaker - then after a minute or so the volume began to fluctuate randomly through whisper to full volume and then it appears to have stabilised after maybe 5-10 minutes operation. Do new

Bulgarien, Thanks for your encouragement, but US$560 per speaker for ICE is um, not so cheap a fix for me right now - have to get over buying the Pentas first! Steve

It does not appear any particular event has occurred, I just switched on the beocenter and there is only one channel - checked the passives on the MCL and all fine. I checked the powerlink

Hi, Is anybody able to tell me about a MCL "sensor" unit I received today with an MCL2A kit? It looks identical to the usual grey rectangular transceiver, but it does not have the Timer and Mute buttons - it is instead simply labeled "sensor" and the cable is a 4-core with a 6 pin DIN plug on the end...? What is this designed to

Nevermind - I triple checked connections and there was a faulty solder on the data pin at the MCL 3 pin speaker plug... All working correctly now!

Hi all, This is my first post - after searching the wealth of info on this forum, and several hours of frustration fiddling with a new MCL setup, I hope someone may be able to help! I have a BC9500 which I am hooking up with MCL2A kits in two other rooms. Checked and double checked all wiring, disconnected each MCL relay box in turn, and tried replacing
