The Beosystem 5500 can be remote controlled by all later B&O remotes; Beolink 1000, Beolink 5000, Beo4, Beolink 7000, Master control panel 6500, Beo5 and Beo6. I would suggest to see if it's possible to get your MCP repaired, maybe at your local B&O shop.

I have wondered a bit about something. The Beomaster 2400 remote is the most common ultrasound B&O remote made. Could this remote be used to control a Beomaster 6000 4 channel? Could there be done some modifications to make it compatible? What do you guys think?

Merry Christmas to you Søren, nice presents you've got there! Must be nice to have a taste of Denmark, It's really hard to find remolade and salty licorice other places than in Denmark. Congratulations with the Beomaster control module, I have actually also bought a 2400 with remote. I bought the special 15V battery from an English website

Hej Torsten, Almost all 80's B&O speakers are in need of new foam rings, that is entirely normal. It's not difficult to do, there are lots of guides online about refoaming. The keyword is patience when refoaming. The Beomaster 4000 (70's) is a great receiver, puts out about 60 wpc, you'll want to look at the Beovox S60 and S75. Same

The Beolink 1000 will not work with a Beomaster 3000 as it uses older codes. You can use a Beomaster terminal (for the Beomaster 6000) and Beolab terminal (Beomaster 8000), they send the same codes as the 3000 remote.

A retipping would also imply a change of the suspension.
-
That problem is minor and can be fixed by retipping the unit, I think.
-
I have an SP6-7, I don't know if it needs a retipping (at that age it's likely). Send me a PM("start conversation with Søren Hammer" in my profile). I don't know if the tracking angle is different, as it is older than the SP10-series.

Beovox Cona er en passiv højttaler, du skal bruge en Link forstærker hvis du vil bruge den med Beovision 5

Yep, the original 3000 was 30 W per channel and the 3000-2 is 40 W per channel The 4000 was 60 W per channel and the 4400 was 75(though a entirely different design)
