  • Re: Beomaster 6500 vs. M100 speakers

I thought too that the price sounded high, but the fact that they've been professionally rebuilt and that there are so few of them around has me thinking twice. Being able to pick them up locally versus paying for shipping is also a factor. I'm quite sure I will never come across another pair of these in my area and certainly not professioanlly

  • Re: Beomaster 6500 vs. M100 speakers

I have not purchased the M100 speakers yet. I didn't want to invest in them until I was certain that they would perform well with my 6500. The shop that I found them in wants $750 US. They have been completely gone through and include original stands, both in great condition. I know that these are fairly rare (at least in the states), but wasn't

  • Re: Beomaster 6500 and M100 speakers

Thank you all for your responses. I was able to experience the M100s at a custom audio shop which specializes in building high end speakers. I was able to listen to the M100s and then to a pair of $25,000 US custom built speakers. I thought the M100s sounded as good, if not better than the custom speakers. Needless to say, I was impressed! Their price

I do have a Beomaster 8000, but it is not working at present. I don't know if its worth putting the money into to having it serviced, so for now, my user system is the 6500. If you don't think the 6500 will properly drive the M100s, then I guess I will regretfully pass on the purchase. Thank you, Aaron

  • Beomaster 6500 vs. M100 speakers

Hello everyone, I am seriously considering purchasing a pair of professionally rebuilt M100 speakers. They would be used with my Beosystem 6500. Is a Beomaster 6500 capable of extracting the full potential out of these 5-way speakers? Thanks, Aaron

  • Re: Beogram 8002 cable question

I pulled out my manual to confirm I had the proper cable and I realized that I was using the cable for the Beocord 9000! I dug out the right cable, unscrewed the 2 pins, and reconnected the Beogram and now everything seems to working properly. Thank you Peter for your timely response, Aaron

  • Re: Beogram 8002 cable question

OK, thanks! Sorry for taking so long to respond, I was away at school. I removed the 2 pins from the BM 2400 end of the cable and played a record. Strangely, as soon as the tone arm came down on the record, a buzzing noise could be heard throught the speakers. Then, as the music began to play, the noise faded but never went away entirely. Does anyone

  • Re: CDX problem

Hi Peter, The only connections on the CDX are 2 RCA cables. I have a special order DIN to RCA connector which allows to connect the CDX to my 2400. I did have the DIN connected to the Tape socket. The several times I tried playing it, I got heavy static. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN. After reading your response, I hooked the CDX up to an NAD reciever and got

  • CDX problem

Hello everyone, I recently acquired a Beogram CDX in beautiful condition. I hooked it up to my B&O system, and found that all the controls and lights work properly and that the speed seems correct. However, there is a lot of distortion, making it sound like an improperly tuned radio station. I love the looks of this piece and I'm hoping it can

  • Re: Beogram 8002 cable question

I meant to say that I was happy I can utilize my cable by removing the 2 outermost pins! But, do I need to remove the 2 pins on both ends of the cable, or just the pins on the end that plugs in to the BM 2400? Aaron
