Hi everyone, I finally got to try out my newly acquired Penta II's for the first time now that I'm home for Spring Break. They sound fantastic connected to my Beosystem 6500! The Pentas' display readouts work properly but I can't seem to get them to dim with all lights turned off. They had been in storage for 6+ years prior to my purchasing

Hmmm... Has anyone else tried the "Tim Jarman Fix" on their BM 5500/6500/7000? Is it a worthwhile improvement -- how exactly does the sound quality change? Aaron

Alex, You might try checking ebay. At least here in the U.S., the "Beomaster Control Module" for the 2400 appears fairly regularly on ebay. Regards, Aaron

Excellent, Thanks for your reply Peter!

Hi guys, I read on beocentral today that tweeters can be damaged if they are driven by an underpowered amp. Since my father picked up a pair of M100s several weeks ago, they've been driven through my Beomaster 2400. In order to get decent volume from them, the beomaster needs to be turned up to about 3/4 volume. Am I potentially damaging a pair

Okay, Thanks Soren! It seems somewhat odd that B&O would use plastic on their flagship 6500 components when the displays on the lower-range 4500 system were made out of glass and the MCP 6500 and Beolink 7000 used glass as well. But, you never quite know with B&O! Aaron

Hello guys, I was looking at the displays on the components of my Beosystem 6500 and noticed that they could use a little cleaning. My question is -- are they made out of plastic or glass? According to the beoworld description for the Beosystem 7000, the front displays are glass. I'm assuming this would be the same for the 6500 too, but I see some

Hey guys, I happened to be on beocentral and was reading it's review of the Beolab Penta I. It mentioned that Penta I's had a display featuring an "auto limit" indicator to show when the amplifier's Dynamic Clipping Attenuator had been activated. I'm just wondering out of curiosity-- was this feature carried over to the Penta

Hmmm.... So it seems there were indeed several variations of the M100 and M100-2. Has anyone ever compared M100s and M100-2s soundwise? I read on beocentral that the M100-2s had revised drive units. I'm wondering if that changed the sound quality?

I've been searching for photos of M-100s online. I can't seem to find any without the indicator lamps, however I've come across a few M-100s with the LEDs that lack monograms on the stands. In the manual that came with my set of speakers, there is a diagram that shows the indicator lamps but no names are visible on the stand faces. The manual
